These terms govern Split Mate (also named Picnic Split in the app), its mobile applications, website, and related services provided through theappcoderz.com. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Eligibility and accounts

You must meet the minimum age required in your country and be at least 13. You must provide accurate account details, protect your sign-in credentials, and notify us of suspected unauthorised access. Do not impersonate another person or use an account without permission.

Purpose of the service

Split Mate helps groups record shared expenses, participation, advances, waivers, and settlements. It is a recordkeeping and calculation tool, not a bank, payment processor, escrow service, lender, or financial adviser. It does not transfer money or guarantee repayment.

Picnics, invitations, and access

Invite members only when you are authorised to share their information. Members granted access may see and manage shared picnic records. Login is required to access protected picnic details. Rejecting an invitation or removing a member ends their participation or access as supported by the service; it does not erase their account or necessarily erase shared financial history.

Accuracy and settlements

You are responsible for checking amounts, selected payers, contributions, participation units, currency, and settlement instructions. Suggestions depend on the records entered and may be affected by rounding or later edits. A saved or finalised settlement is a record, not proof that a payment occurred. Currency selection is not currency conversion. Resolve payment disputes directly with the people involved.

Your content and acceptable use

You retain ownership of information and photos you submit and permit us to store, process, and display them as necessary to provide the service. You must have the rights and consent needed to submit them. Do not upload unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, or infringing content; distribute spam; bypass access controls; interfere with the service; or misuse member searches or invitations.

Third-party services

Sign-in, hosting, email, and app-store services may be operated by third parties under their own terms. Their availability and compatibility may change. We are not responsible for third-party outages or activities outside our control.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains data handling, shared information, and account-deletion requests.

Availability and changes

We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict accounts for misuse, security reasons, or legal requirements. We do not promise uninterrupted service or error-free calculations. Keep copies of information important to you.

Disclaimers and liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is supplied as available without warranties beyond those required by law. We are not responsible for disputes between members, incorrect entries, unpaid debts, or indirect losses arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ending use and deletion

You may stop using the service at any time. To request account or personal-data deletion, follow the instructions in our Privacy Policy. Information required for shared records or legal obligations may be retained or anonymised as described there.

Updates and disputes

We may update these terms and their effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required. Contact us first about service disputes. Applicable mandatory local laws and consumer protections remain in effect.
